With 28 years of teaching experience across continents and cultures, I bring a wealth of knowledge to helping professionals excel in their English communication skills. My life journey—from growing up in Hawaii to living in Australia—shaped my passion for education and cultural adaptation. This rich background enables me to connect deeply with clients navigating similar transitions in their professional lives.

My family's move to Hawaii from the southern part of the United States when I was six years old was a formative experience; a significant cultural shift sparked my early fascination with languages and history. I vividly recall my first day of elementary school, learning the colloquial Hawaiian word 'pau,' meaning 'all finished.' Over time, my favourite subject became Hawaiian History, which I later had the privilege of teaching alongside Hawaiian cultural studies.

After completing year 12 overseas in Seoul, Korea—an adventure that broadened my worldview—I returned to the United States and pursued higher education at the University of Hawaii. However, my journey was far from linear. As a young military wife and mother, I discovered a new purpose: a desire to inspire and educate. This passion drove me back to school, where I completed my degree in Michigan and began my teaching career.

Returning to Hawaii fulfilled a dream in my professional journey in education. I immersed myself in teaching, eventually earning a master's in curriculum development from the University of Hawaii. Yet, life had more in store. With my children grown and living independently, I embraced a new chapter: migrating to Australia.

Fourteen years later, I have gained invaluable experience living and teaching in Australia. This multicultural environment has further enriched my understanding of the challenges faced by those adapting to new countries and languages. Today, I am excited to use my expertise in a new way—helping International Medical Graduates and other professionals achieve their career goals in Australia by building their confidence and communication skills.

Having lived through cultural transitions, I understand the unique struggles and triumphs of starting over in a new place. I aim to provide efficient, personalised strategies that save my clients time and effort while helping them succeed in their English language tests, workplace communication, and beyond.
